History of the Church

Bishop Brady E. Jackson, Sr.

Bishop Brady E. Jackson, Sr. is the founder of Royal Praise Ministries For All People, Inc., formerly Kings Mountain House of Prayer For All People.  He and his wife, Teresa, pastor the local assembly.  Bishop Jackson participates in various ministries in the community and ministries licensed and sanctioned under Royal Praise.

The Bishop received his initial Ministerial License in 1979 through United Christian Church and Ministerial Association

in Cleveland, Tennessee.  He was later licensed through Kingdom Cathedral (Deliverance Tabernacle, Inc.) in Whitwell, Tennessee.  His current license is through Royal Praise.

Bishop Jackson has been active in overseas missions since he was a young man.  Under the direction of his former pastor, he had the opportunity to visit the country of Haiti in 1978.  Seeing the needs of the people and taking hold of the vision of harvest, he began working in the mission fields.  Since that time, Bishop Jackson has visited and/or done mission work in Russia, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya (East Africa), Ghana (West Africa), Japan, Canada, and the Bahamas.

Realizing that there are needs in our own country as well, Bishop Jackson has done evangelistic work here in the States.  He is an active part of a local prayer group of pastors and ministers from a wide variety of Christian denominations.  The prayer group has established humanitarian efforts to assist the needy in our area.  They have worked to bring about unity in the Christian community.

The Bishop believes in strong family values.  He and his wife, Teresa, met while in the third grade.  As they entered into high school, they began dating and later married.  They have since raised two children, who are both married, and enjoy time with their grandchildren.

Articles of Faith

The Scripture Inspired – The Bible is the inspired Word of God; a revelation from God to man; the infallible rule of faith and conduct (II Timothy 3:15-17)

One True God – We believe that one true God has revealed himself as the self-existent “I Am.”  We believe that there are three manifestations of the One True God (I John 5:5-7)

The Father is the omnipotent, omnipresent creator who formed the world, set all life in motion, and established followers.

    (Genesis 1, Galatians 3:6-14)

The Son was the embodiment of God through Jesus Christ’s virgin birth, death, Resurrection and Ascension.

    (Matthew 1:18-25, Romans 14:9, Colossians 1:15-17)

The Holy Ghost is the divine spirit of God given to the believer.  We believe that all believers are entitled to receive the promise of the Father which is the Holy Ghost.  Manifestations of the Holy Ghost may include operating in the Gifts of the Spirit, speaking in “other tongues”, and witnessing (Acts 2).

The Fall and Redemption of Man – Man was created good and upright in the image of God.  By voluntary transgression, he fell.  His only hope of redemption is through the blood of Jesus Christ (John 3:16)

Baptism in Water – Water baptism is an important commandment to the believer, as was practiced by Jesus and the Apostles.  Baptism, after repentance, is an outward sign of the inward work of the burial and resurrection of Christ (Romans 6:3-5).

The Lord’s Supper – We believe in the Lord’s Supper consisting of unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine.  Through faith, the bread becomes a symbol of the body of Christ and the wine becomes a symbol of His blood.  It is a memorial of His suffering and death (Luke 22:19-20).

Sanctification – We believe that sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of His holiness.  Sanctification is a process that starts at repentance and is carried on in the heart of the believer

                   (I Thessalonians 4:3-4).

The Church – We believe the church to be the Body of Christ that had its beginnings at Pentecost, ushering in a new dispensation of the habitation of God’s Spirit (John 14:16, 20: Romans 12:5).

Ministry and Evangelism – We believe in a Divinely-called and scripturally-ordained ministry having been provided for by our Lord as a two-fold purpose: The evangelism of the world (Matthew 28:19-20)The edifying and perfection of the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-13).

Establishment of Ministers – We believe every God-sent minister is a minister of the Gospel and that true preparation for the ministry comes from the call of God, maturity, and spiritual training in the Body of Christ.  We believe that both men and women may hold positions in the ministry as the Apostle Paul stated in Galatians 3:28, “There is neither Jew nor Greek…bond nor free…male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Tithes and Offerings – We believe in the support of the ministry; they that preach the Gospel should also live of the Gospel and the laborer is worthy of his hire (I Timothy 5:18).  We believe every Christian should dedicate at least ten percent (10%) of his/her income for the work of the Lord.  This example was established by Jacob and continued into the Levitical Priesthood (Genesis 28:22 and Leviticus 27:30).  Tithing and offerings were also reinforced by Jesus Christ in Matthew 23:23.

Deacons and Elders – We believe that deacons for the church and elders of the church are servants and assistants and are subject to their pastors (I Timothy 3).

                Mission Statement

                Ephesians 3:17-18

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height…

                Purpose

                History

Royal Praise Ministries For All People, Inc., formerly Kings Mountain House of Prayer For All People was founded in 1982 by Bishop Brady E. Jackson, Sr.  The church was established on the vision stated in Ephesians 3: 18 that I “… May be able to comprehend with all saints ….”  Royal Praise Ministries For All People, Inc. is an independent, nondenominational, Christian organization.

The ministry is active in mission work both at home and abroad.  Various members of the congregation have visited countries such as Kenya, Haiti, Russia, Japan, India, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Ghana, and Canada.  The organization has helped sponsor foreign missions such as: Medics for Christ, medical team to Kenya, Africa; Missions for Unreached Peoples, spreading the Gospel in Russia; Caribbean Christian Club, Christian and educational opportunities for Haitian youths; and Samaritan’s Purse, Christmas/relief projects.  We also see and realize needs in our own community.  We currently participate in local programs such as: Christmas for the Needy, seasonal projects; Crisis Ministry, monthly sponsorship; Jail Ministry, sharing the Gospel; Earthen Vessels, collaborating with other churches to help the needy; and Just Men Fellowship, men’s conference.

We realize the need for the Body of Christ to work together as a unified force rather than a divided foe.  Royal Praise Ministries works closely with area churches as well as those in other states.  We network with Christian churches from a wide variety of denominations.

Royal Praise Ministries has been in existence since 1982.  Throughout this time, we have seen many changes, but our goal has remained the same.  Regardless whether people come to be established on our congregation, or licensed through the incorporation, or to sojourn with us for a short time, our desire is to be a help to the Body of Christ and an encouragement to those in need.  Ephesians 3: 18 that I  “…May be able to comprehend with all saints….”
